Print Quota & Audit

Print Quota (Print Limit)

The Print Quota option provides an opportunity for limiting the amount of printing. Using it you can allow printing of a certain number of pages for a chosen period.
There are two ways to set the quota: fixed number of pages and budget.
In the first case the quota becomes exceeded when the number of printed pages appears to be bigger than the quota.
In the second case the price of every page printed is being taken out of the fixed budget. When it becomes 0 the quota is exceeded. Usually the quota is set for a user or a group of users and not for printers. The quotas may be set for month, week or  day. When exceeding the limit (quota) there must be an option for denying the printing and notification.

Print Audit

The Print Audit is two major types: Audit printing devices and Audit the customer’s print documents.
In the first case the Audit includes gathered information about which period and on which print device how many pages have been printed.
In the second case the Audit provides information about what has been printed, how many pages have been printed and which device a specific user has been using for chosen period.
These two independent Audit criteria for printed pages must be equivalent for all users and all printers for a chosen period.
